How laser cutting brings Qabano kits to life

At Qabano, every kit starts with an idea, a sketch, a world. But it's the ultra-precise wood cuts that make our creations possible. And for this, we use a discreet but essential technology: laser cutting.

What exactly is laser cutting?

This manufacturing method uses a very fine beam of light to cut wood with millimetre precision. wood with millimetric precision.. Unlike a saw or blade, the laser does not touch the material. It "draws" it by burning an ultra-precise line.

This allows you to create :

  • at clean edgesburr-free,

  • with fine, complex shapes,

  • perfectly suited to mounting without glue or screws.

Why we use it at Qabano

Laser cutting fits perfectly with our way of creating. It allows us to produce locally, with care, while respecting the natural natural character of wood.. And above all, it guarantees the precision that makes all the difference when it comes to assembly.

Each part must fit fit together perfectlywith a simple gesture, so that the experience remains fluid and pleasant, even for small hands.

All Qabano kits are carefully laser-cut.

Technology & slow design: an unexpected alliance

You might think that technology and slow design are opposites. But for us, laser cutting serves the very purpose of slow time. It allows us to create well-thought-out, well-cut objects, made to last.

A Qabano kit is a blend of :

  • laser precision,

  • and the gentleness of the manual gesture.

A tool to promote Made in France

Our kits are designed, cut and assembled in Francein our own workshop or in collaboration with local partners. Laser cutting enables us to produce in small batches, without waste, while remaining true to our commitments: responsible wood, zero plastic, zero glue.

From the machine to your hands

Once cut, the parts of each kit are sorted, checked, then sent... to you. And that's where it all begins: theassemblystep by step, at your own pace.

Creating an object with your hands, knowing where it comes from, understanding how it was made... That's what it's all about for us, the magic of DIY.
