At Qabano, we design objects that you assemble yourself. But above all, we imagine experiences to be lived slowly. In a fast-paced world overflowing with plastic, noise and consumerism, we've chosen to take a different path: that of slow design.

What is slow design?

The slow design (or slow design) is a way of thinking about and making objects that emphasizes :

the sustainability rather than disposability,
the quality rather than quantity,
the time well spent rather than immediacy,
and emotion rather than distraction.

A slow design object is made to last, to be loved and passed on. It doesn't seek to impress immediately, but to accompany for a long time.

What this means in concrete terms at Qabano

At Qabano, we apply slow design in every stage of creation :

1. Carefully selected materials

We use compressed wood from sustainably managed forests, precision-cut in France. No glue, no flashy paint, no plastic. Just the natural essentials.

2. Self-assembly items

Our kits are designed to be assembled at home, at your own pacealone or with your family. This moment of assembly is an integral part of the object. We don't deliver a finished product, we invite you to make it happen.

3. A useful, soft and timeless design

Every shape, every line is designed to be both aesthetic and poeticwithout following a passing trend. We don't want to sell you a trend. but an object that will find its place in your daily lifeyear after year.

4. Local, controlled production

All our kits are made in Francein small series. We know the hands that touch them. And we take the time to do it right.

Slow design is also a shared experience

Assembling a Qabano object isn't just "tinkering". It's about slowing down. It's about making together. It's about showing a child that he can create something beautiful with his hands. It's about giving value back to the simple gesture of nesting, contemplating and playing.
